BY LAXMI CHAUDHARY,Janakpurdham, Mar. 27: Rani Kumari Tiwari, Minister for Education and Culture of the Madhes Province Government, has stated that the provincial government is fully committed to conducting the Secondary Education Examination (SEE) in a dignified, systematic, and secure manner.
Speaking at a provincial-level orientation programme on the operation and management of SEE 2026, organised by the Education Development Directorate in Janakpurdham on Thursday, Minister Tiwari emphasised that the examination system must be made credible to ensure quality education.
She informed that necessary preparations and important discussions had already been carried out to conduct the examinations in an organised, dignified, peaceful, and fear-free environment.
Urging all concerned bodies, teachers, and staff to work responsibly and with dedication to ensure the success of this important examination, directly linked to students’ futures, she said, “Improving the quality of education is our priority, and it requires collective effort.”
Referring to the negative perception in the past that exams in Madhes Province were passed through cheating, she expressed confidence that strict management this year would break that image. She added that this year’s examination management would help end such misconceptions and bring improvements in the ducation sector.
She also expressed hope that with the formation of a two-thirds majority government, longstanding issues related to authority and jurisdiction would be resolved. Pointing out the important role of security in education reform, she informed that discussions would be held on Sunday with Chief District Officers of all eight districts in Madhes Province to ensure a secure examination environment.
Mahendra Mahato, Director of the Education Directorate, said that preparations for the SEE had been completed.
He stated that all stakeholders were ready to conduct the examinations in an organised and fear-free environment. He also urged everyone to follow the examination code of conduct, adding, “If any irregularities are found during the exams, arrangements will be made immediately to shift to another examination center.”
A total of 87,591 students from all eight districts of Madhes Province are set to appear in the SEE examinations, which will begin on April 2.
