Trayam delves into the realities faced by women

By A Staff Reporter,Kathmandu, Jun.2: Currently being staged at Kaushi Theatre, 'Trayam' is a captivating theatrical production. 

The play centres around the story of three women, who find themselves sharing a room, forming a unique bond in the process.

 This poignant story unfolds from Saturday morning until evening, utilising the different times of the day—morning, day, and evening—as symbolic representations of the stages of life, past, present, and future.

 Through this narrative device, the play delves into the realities faced by women, It tries to challenge and transform society's patriarchal notions while revolutionising women's representation.

Written and directed by Dillip Rana Bhat, a seasoned playwright with a decade of experience in the field of drama, 'Trayam' is a thought-provoking production that runs for approximately an hour. 

The play artfully portrays the plight of women, vividly illustrating their struggles and shedding light on the biased perceptions held by men.

 By fostering an atmosphere of heightened awareness, 'Trayam' breaks down all social barriers and empowers women to transcend their limitations.

The talented ensemble cast brings the characters to life, with Sangita Thapa, Rakshya Thapa, and Purnima Acharya doing the three lead roles. Supporting them are Shravan Rana, Nathan Rayan  Bhandari, and Sabeer Churoute, who contribute their skills and expertise to creating a captivating performance. 

The play will be shown until June 11.
