Current government is fully committed to press freedom: PM Oli

Kaqthamdnu, Apr.2: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has said that the current government is fully committed to freedom of the press and expression.

In his congratulatory message today on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the public service broadcasting organization Radio Nepal, he said that the government's commitment to press freedom is observed in action. 

Emphasizing that the press, which has been given the role of an important part of society, must play a responsible role in supporting nationalism, democracy, good governance, and development, Prime Minister Oli said that the press should fulfill its responsibility of nation-building, expressing confidence that Radio Nepal will play an important role in expanding the government's campaign for social change, development, good governance, cleanliness, and transparency to the public.

The Prime Minister said, “Radio Nepal has made a great contribution to Nepal’s political awakening.”

It is time for Radio Nepal to creatively disseminate information the general public for the development of the country.
