Railway from Bardibas to Nijgadh to be sped up
By TRN Online, Kathmandu, May 29: The government has said the construction work of railway line from Bardibas to Nijgadh will be be expedited.
Presenting the annual estimates (budget) of revenue and expenditure for the fiscal year 2026/27 in the joint meeting of the federal parliament today, Finance Minister Dr Swarnim Wagle said that the government will expedite construction of railway line from Bardibas to Nijgadh, the entry point of Kathmandu-Terai Madesh fast track.
He said that budget has been allocated to finish the remaining work of under construction Bathnaha-Biratnagar and Janakpur-Jaynaga-Bardibas railway.
