The High Level Judicial Commission formed to study and investigate the incidents happened during the Gen-Z protests on September 8-9 has decided to ban five individuals including former Prime Minister and CPN (UML) Chairman KP Sharma Oli and former Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak for their foreign travels citing that those individuals were under investigation.

According to the decision of the Council of Ministers, a total of Rs 1.5 million each was provided to families of the deceased, said Chief District Officer Dharmendra Kumar Mishra. The amount was received from the Ministry of Home Affairs.

A meeting of the Council of Ministers held today decided to provide rightful compensation to the injured ones after their classification from the technical committee, the government's Spokesperson and Minister for Communications and Information Technology Jagdish Kharel said. Likewise, the cabinet meeting has decided to run the Gen-Z Clinics to provide treatment and follow-up health care services for free to the people injured during the Gen-Z protests. Such clinics would be run in certain hospitals under the Ministry of Health and Population, which would facilitate the identification of the injured persons and their effective treatment facilities. This act would be undertaken based on the identity cards being issued by the Home Ministry, it is said. The Health Ministry would arrange a hotline number and the focal persons to facilitate the treatment of the injured people and their follow-up, Spokesperson Kharel shared. The cabinet also approved the alignment of the Muglin-Anbukhairani road section of the Muglin-Pokhara road, which will be 15 metres towards the left and equal distance towards the right from the centre of the road.Similarly, the cabinet meeting approved the visit of Minister for Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation Kulman Ghising for his participation to the Eight Session of the International Solar Alliance (ISA) Assembly to take place on October 27-30 in New Delhi of India. Minister Kharel said that today's cabinet meeting also decided to appoint Ajay Bhadra Khanal as the Chief Advisor and Govinda Narayan Timalsina as the Public Relations Advisor to the Prime Minister.

At a press conference organised here, Chairperson of the AMS Music and Entertainment, Satya Kala Tamang Lama shared that the event is going to be organised with an objective of boosting cultural and economic relations between Nepal and Philippines. "The main objective of the programme is to promote tourism of Nepal and exchange culture. Artists of both countries will perform on the occasion," opined Chairperson Lama.Similarly, artistes as well as other individuals contributing in different sectors would be honoured in the programme, she added. Managing Director of the Company, Phurba Gyalbo Moktan, said, "This programme will become a cultural event to further strengthen the relations between the two countries. Nepali artists will get opportunity to perform their art in the international forum."Likewise, Chairperson of National Dynamic Art, Dev Raj Gurung, expressed the belief that the event will help exchange art and cultural between the two countries.
