Kathmandu, Feb 27: A new date has been set for the 10th National Games to be held in Surkhet of Karnali Province.
The 121st board meeting of National Sports Council (NSC) held today under the chairmanship of Minister for Youth and Sports Tejulal Chaudhary decided to hold the 10th National Games from coming May 17 to 24, 2025.
Earlier, the NSC had decided to hold the 10th National Games from April 5 to 12. Likewise, a decision was taken to hold the first National Para Games from 31 May to 4 June, 2025 in Kathmandu.
The NSC also decided to suspend six national sports associations that participated in the unlawful election of the Nepal Olympic Committee.
The suspended national sports associations include the Nepal Badminton Association, Nepal Tennis Association, Nepal Cycling Association, Nepal Athletics Association, Nepal Gymnastics Association and Nepal Weightlifting Association.(RSS)
