Karsang’s shooting concludes

By A Staff Reporter,Kathmandu, Aug. 21:The shooting of  ‘Karsang’ has been completed. Directed by Yam Sherpa, the film’s shooting took 22 days to complete.

The film was shot in Bhote Koshi Rural Municipality and Barhabise Municipality areas of Sindhupalchowk district.

 The production team announced that the entire shoot was completed in time due to the excellent teamwork.

Director Sherpa said, “The entire team was great, and their hard work allowed us to complete the shooting on schedule. If everything goes as planned in post-production, we should be able to release the film soon.”

Karsang is produced under the banners of Yarsa Films and Purushottam Pradhan Films, featuring a strong lineup of actors.

Main actors Daya Hang Rai and debutant actress Srijana Ninglekhu were recently seen in character looks from the film, suggesting they are playing the roles of indigenous people.

Daya Hang and Srijana play a couple in the film, with Srijana making her debut in this movie, having previously worked in several music videos.

The film, which focuses on a social narrative, is written, directed, and scripted by Sherpa himself. This is Sherpa’s directorial debut, although he has previously directed several short films.

The cast also includes Jitu Nepal, Diya Maskey, Buddhi Tamang, Prem Lopchan, Doma Hyolmo, Srishti Gautam, Chhoki Sherpa, Surbir Pandit, and Karma Sherpa. Child actors Rashi Limbu and Sohan Thapa are also featured.

The producer of the film is Purushottam Pradhan, who is also the film’s DOP. 

The release date of Karsang has not yet been decided. RR Films has taken on the responsibility for distribution across the country.
