Samata Kavya Sandhya presents 12 emerging poets

By A Staff Reporter,Pokhara, Aug. 21: Samata Kavya Sandhya presented 12 emerging poets amid the presence of a large number of literary figures in Pokhara, recently.

At the 372nd serial of Samata Kavya Sandhya, Abyagra Asmit, Manisha Paudel, Ashmita Paudel, Roshan Timilsina, Umanga Kuwar and Bikram Tharu presented their signature poems. Similarly, Taranath Parajuli, Sanyog Basyal, Deependra Arun, Sajina Paudel, Nikesh Giri and Shraddha Acharya also recited their poems.

Bikram Tharu had a unique style of expression while Nikesh Giri presented a sharp articulation in rhyme. Taranath Parajuli also presented a poem in rhyme on a cruelly raped girl and Umanga Kunwar's presentation gave a taste of slam poetry. The rest also have their own style of articulation.

Famous novelist Saurbhakta congratulated them for their spontaneous expression while Ramesh Shrestha, popularly known as the poet of symbols, also expressed happiness in listening to their poems. Shrestha found Bikram Tharu's poem the best and presented one of his poetry books to him.

Another famous novelist and poet Saraswati Pratikshya found their style very unique. "We should critically appreciate them to squeez their inner talent," she said.

Upendra Paudel, chairman of Pokhreli Sanskritik Paribar, found the future of Nepali literature in the budding poets. "I am optimist towards their writing. They are vibrant," Paudel said.

Ishwar Mani Adhikary, Deepak Sameep, Rita Adhikary Ritu, Pranjal, Ishu Shah, Hasina Basnet, Sanjiv Paudel , Saraswati Shrestha Saru and others hailed their poems.

Samata Kavya Sandhya is a serial of poetry recitation functions being organised monthly by Pokhreli Yuba Sanskritik Paribar.
