Lumpy Skin decreases milk production

Kapilvastu, July 27:  Farmers began complaining the decrease in milk production post lumpy skin havoc.

Milk production in Kapilvastu decreased due to the spread of lumpy skin disease in cow since October last year. 

Chief of Livestock Service Expert Centre, Kapilvastu Bishnu Prasad Khanal informed that milk production has declined.  

He said that cow stops milk once it is once suffer from the transmitted. Most number of cases is found in Banganga Municipality. Meanwhile vaccination has been started to control it.

One of a farmer Jhabindra Pokhrel Banganga-6, Vaglapur 

 milk production decreased to 65 liters from which they used to milk 125 liter. He said that production decreased since last month.

Dairy entrepreneur of Banganga Municipality Krishna Khanal said that the supply of milk has been decreased.

He said that the collection of milk in the village is reduced to 250 liter from 250 liter in the past. (RSS)
