Dr. Swarnim Wagle has presented the economic survey of the current fiscal year
of 2025/026 at the meeting of the House of Representatives today.
The survey estimates Nepal's economic growth to be 3.85%.
The estimate of economic expansion of Nepal is encouraging in the context that the
global economic is estimated to limit by 3.1 per cent.
Similarly, total size of the nation's economy is
projected to be Rs. 6.6 trillion and per capital gross national income to be
Rs. 1535 USD.
The Survey presented by Finance Minister Dr Wagle
estimate that agriculture's share in gross domestic production (GDP) will be
24% while that of non-agriculture will be 76%.
Federal revenue has increased by 3.2% by February
while government expenses by 10.4% in the current fiscal year. Similarly,
public debt has reached Rs. 2 trillion 878 billion, which is 43.6% of the GDP.
