Patan High Court halts screening of 'Prasad 2'

By A Staff Reporter,Kathmandu, Apr. 5: The Patan High Court has issued an interim order to halt the screening of 'Prasad 2'.

'Prasad 2' directed by Sudarshan Thapa was scheduled to be released from coming Friday (on April 7) in the local cinema theatres. Keshav Pandey, one of the producers of the film, filed a petition in the Patan High Court demanding a halt to the release of the film stating  that film producer Suvash Thapa did not give his money. 

On Tuesday, a bench of Judge Sudarshanraj Pandey issued the order to stop release the film from Friday. 

Spokesperson for the High Court Patan Mandira Shahi informed that the High Court has called both sides for further hearing on the writ on April 9. 

An arrest warrant has been issued against film producer Thapa in the case of financial transactions and banking offences. The police are looking for him.
