By Our Correspondent,Gaur, Feb. 24: Minister for Agriculture and Livestock Development Jwala Kumari Sah has said that she is effortful to facilitate farmers by solving the existing problems in the agricultural sector.

While awarding the winners of the 10th district-level women's cycle race organised by Rajadevi Media Centre in Rautahat, Minister Sah said that she was committed to providing subsidies to the real farmers by checking the distortions and middlemen's nets in the agricultural sector.

In the absence of fertilisers in the country, the farmers are unable to plant crops in time every year, said Minister Sah adding that there is a discussion about opening an organic fertiliser industry in the country for the convenience of farmers.

There is a trend that the middlemen take the agricultural tools and grants, she said and made it clear that she is trying to tackle the tendency and to provide such facilities to real farmers.

Stating that youths are migrating abroad because the current agricultural occupation is expensive, she said that it was necessary to study the problems in agriculture and make it more profitable with less expenses.

Stating that social development is possible only in a country where women move ahead, Minister Sah urged everyone to end all forms of discrimination against women at home and provide them with the equal opportunities as men.
