Panchayan Stotra Bhajan made public in Achham

By Our Correspondent, Achham, May 28: The book Panchay Panchayan Stotra Bhajan Made public in Achham an Stotra Bhajan Bhakti Chirayu Magne Magau has been launched.

Originally published in 2020 BS by former Pradhan Pancha of Nada Village Panchayat, Purna Bahadur Shah, the book has now been republished and rewritten by his son, senior educationist Lokendra Bahadur Shah. The launch ceremony took place at Turmakhand Bazaar in Achham.

The book was jointly released by former secretary of the government Krishna Hari Baskota, chairperson of Turmakhand Rural Municipality Dambar BC, vice-chairperson Bimala Shahi, author Lokendra Bahadur Shah and his family members. 

The 26-page book was originally published in Mathura, India, on January 26, 1964 former Pradhan Pancha of Dhurdhangta Nada Village Panchayat Purna Bahadur Shah. It has now been rewritten and republished by his son Lokendra Bahadur Shah.

The book contains collections of Panchayan Stotra, Shri Ramsite Stotra, Kailashpati Parvati Stotra, Mahakali Stotra, Shri Krishna Ram Bhajan, Shri Indra Stuti, Shri Bageshwari Devi Stuti, Shri Suryanarayan Bhagwan Stuti, as well as verses advising against taking excessive dowry for daughters, avoiding abusive language and devotional compositions relating to poet Purna and humanity in general.

The hymns and poems, originally written in Sanskrit, were authored by Purna Bahadur Shah. In the republished edition, his son Lokendra has also included a brief biography of his late father and a detailed account of the Bhote conflict in both Nepali and Sanskrit. The book is considered useful for readers interested in history.
