Possibility of rain in Koshi, Madhes, Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini

Kathmandu, May 6: At present, Nepal is under influence of a western low-pressure system, local winds as well as a low-pressure area present in the lower atmosphere near the eastern region of the country. 

Generally cloudy weather is prevailing over Madhes, Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini and Karnali Provinces as well as mountainous and hilly regions of the rest of the country. The remaining Tarai areas is partly cloudy. 

Similarly, rainfall is taking place at one or two places of Koshi and Bagmati Provinces. According o the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, generally cloudy conditions are expected in Koshi, Madhes, Bagmati, Gandaki and Lumbini Provinces as well as hilly and mountainous regions of the rest of the country. 

Here is also a possibility of light to moderate rainfall accompanied by thunder and lightning at some places in Koshi, Madhes, Bagmati, Gandaki and Lumbini Provinces and few places in other provinces.

Tonight, generally cloudy weather is likely in Koshi Province as well as hilly and mountainous regions of the country. There is a chance of moderate rainfall along with thunder and lightning at some places in Koshi Province and few places in hilly and mountainous regions of Madhes, Bagmati and Gandaki Provinces. 

Additionally, light rainfall\ snowfall along with thunder and lightning is possible at one or two places in the hilly and mountainous regions of the remaining provinces, added the Department.(RSS)
