Govt to roll out salaries to employees every 15 days

By TRN Online, Kathmadnu, April 20: The government has decided to pay salaries and allowances to its employees every 15 days instead of the previous monthly system.

Ministry of Finance made this decision at the ministerial level on April 17. It has already informed the Office of the Financial Comptroller General to make the necessary arrangements to implement the new payment rolling system.

According to the ministry, the provision will be gradually extended to committees, commissions, and public enterprises under the government.

The decision aims to increase cash flow in the market and provide greater financial convenience to employees. The ministry also noted that weekly and biweekly salary payment practices are common in developed countries.
