blog

By A Staff Reporter,Kathmandu, Feb. 10: Nepal Telecom has introduced a nationwide online Know Your Customer (KYC) update facility for its GSM prepaid SIM card users.

With this service, customers can now update their personal details online without initially visiting Nepal Telecom offices.

The service, which was piloted on January 6, 2026 from the Telecommunications Office in Sundhara, has been officially rolled out across the country starting from February 6, 2026, on the occasion of 22nd anniversary of NT, according to NT.

Under this facility, customers who need to correct or update their name or other personal information can log in to the Customer Login Portal at https://kyc.ntc.net.np/.

To proceed, customers must enter a One-Time Password (OTP) received on their registered mobile number and submit their personal details along with five mobile numbers they frequently communicate with.

After completing the online form, customers are required to visit the nearest Nepal Telecom office or customer service centre for final verification.

Based on the submitted information, Nepal Telecom’s system will authenticate and update the customer details accordingly. As a significant number of prepaid customers still have outdated personal records, this online KYC update service is expected to make the process more convenient and accessible, said the NT.

According to NT, the initiative is also anticipated to help customers maintain updated records across other government agencies.
