Kathmandu, March 1: Home Minister Om Prakash Aryal has urged voters to use their sovereign franchise with top confidence in the House of Representatives (HoR) elections on March 5, as the provisions for law and order situation have been strengthened.
Minister Aryal expressed confidence that the HoR elections will be conducted in a free, fair and fearless manner, and urged the voters to use their voting rights.
On Sunday, Minister Aryal visited Banke, Achham, Bajhang, Bajura and Kailali districts along with Home Secretary Raj Kumar Shrestha, Nepal Police Chief Dan Bahadur Karki and Chief of Armed Police Force, Nepal Raju Aryal to take stock of the security provisions and election preparations.
Home Minister Aryal stated that any of the unlawful activities that happen during the election time would be brought to book and directed the concerned officials to give priority to the security of candidates and maintain religious and social goodwill, according to Home Ministry's Joint Spokesperson Rama Acharya.
Likewise, Minister Aryal directed the chief district officers to effectively implement the security planning.
Talking to the media after the inspection visit, Minister Aryal said the poll environment was exciting across the country and added that the security arrangements have been made robust for the HoR polls.(RSS)
