Bhandari elected RSP Syanja district chair

By Arjun Kafle, Syangja, June 7: Rukmangat Bhandari has been elected the chair of the Sysngja district from the first district convention of the Rastriya Swantatra Party (RSP).

Bhandari defeated his rival Upendra Aryal with a wide margin of 260 votes in the vote count that ended late last night.

Bhandari, who has been district coordinator of the RSP< got 284 votes out of total 314 votes cast.

Similarly Uma Phuyal has been elected the vice chair, Prashanna Paudel as the secretary, Tukraj Aryal as the joint-secretary, according to Jhabishwar Dumre, the chief election officer of the RSP. Pita Kumari Khanal, Tanka Prasad Neupane, Devi Prasad Regmi, Dol Raj Lamsal and Chandika Prasad Sapkot have been elected the members.

Surya Paudel has been elected as the chair of the RSP Syangja constituency 1 while Jagadish Gairhe the chair of Syangja constituency 2.
