NCP for stability, good governance and prosperity: coordinator Prachanda

By TRN Online, Kathmandu, March 1: Coordinator of the Nepali Communist Party (NCP) Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda' has appealed to the people to participate in voting for his party as it can only ensure stability, good governance and prosperity.

In a video message aired today, the former Prime Minister viewed that the country was facing two types of extremism and the people needed to defeat the extremists that caused the incidents of killing on September 8 and incidents of arson on September 9.

He argued that the country got pushed to chaos as the then Oli government did not mend its ways despite the NCP warning from both the parliament and street

The country is facing danger from the attitude to push it into anarchy and uncertainty by provoking people's frustration and despair on one hand and on the other, there are status-quo forces supported by the interests of the brokers and middlemen, he said, adding, leftist movement, the NCP, is the only force that can save country by facing off these extremist forces.

He appealed to the leftist voters to get united and vote in the star for the NCP.

Prachanda also pointed at the need to reform revolutionary communist and patriots to foil the plots to eliminate leftist movement.

NCP has already initiated the reform as it has been a political force following merger of about 25 leftist political parties, he said, adding, finally, even the CPN (UML) will join the center of the leftist movement, the NCP.

Former Prime Minister Prachanda mentioned that during his tenure he took stern steps against corruption, did administrative reform and worked to strengthen federal democratic republic and save constitution.

We have played a critical role to ensure representation of dalit and oppressed community, women leadership and inclusion, he said.

He urged the oppressed community such as women, dalit, indigenous nationalities, Tharu, Madhesi, Muslim, Karnali and Sudur Paschim to vote for protection and practical implementation of their rights.

Our party's agenda are end of corruption, dismantling network of the mafia and middlemen and establish the system that no one is above the law, said NCP coordinator Prachanda.

He appealed to the people to vote for the NCP's election symbol Star for stability, good governance and prosperity.

He said the objective of generating jobs in the country will be met with a balanced and self-respect oriented foreign policy, employment and production oriented economy, coordination between agriculture and industry, prioritizing innovation, technology and entrepreneurship.

He urged the people to transform despair into hope and frustration into construction so that a beautiful future can be built. Prachanda also shared his belief that the people will reject those which caused the incidents of September 8 and 9.

NCP Coordinator Prachanda urged the people to vote for his party and make the March 5 election historical.
