Kathmandu, March 2: Coordinator of the Nepali Communist Party (NCP), Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda', has called for decent and peaceful celebrations of Holi festival as the voting under the House of Representatives (HoR) is around the corner.
In his best wishes on the occasion of the Holi festival today, the NCP Coordinator hoped the colour of Holi will foster ties, while the election results will bring further enthusiasm.
The silence period in view of the election is commencing this midnight, he said. "Let us build peaceful atmosphere, have patience and vote with the full exercise of conscience. Our one vote is capable of making a difference in determining the country's future."
He also expressed his concern over rising tensions in the Middle East, causing a distress among overseas Nepalis and their families. "May he all Nepali citizens abroad remain safe," he wished. (RSS)
