Child dies in house fire in Jajarkot

 By Basudev Sharma, Jajarkot, Mar.10: A child has succumbed to the fire that broke out in Jajarkot district. 

According to the District Police Office, Jajakot, 12-year-old Amar Rokaya, son of Janak Bahadur Rokaya, of  Kuse Rural Municipality-8 of Jajarkot district, died in the fire. 

A two-story, thatched-roof house built of mud and stone got completely gutted in a fire at around midnight on Sunday due to a fire that started from a cooking stove.

The rescue operation was carried out with the help of locals following the incident.

According to the District Police Office, the house, including all clothes, utensils, food, cash, and jewelry,  was destroyed. 

Police said the fire was brought under control at 4:15 AM on Monday.
