Sudurpaschim, Nov 15: Foreign Minister Dr Arzu Rana has shared with the media that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs was preparing for the Prime Minister's visit to China.
Speaking to the media at Dhangadhi Airport on Friday, Dr Rana said that the Chinese side was expected to send the visit agenda to Nepal soon. The Minister went on to say that the Ministry was working on an update regarding Nepal-China cooperation and the status of existing agreements.
"We will meet the Prime Minister in the next few days to decide on the agenda for the visit," Dr. Rana added.
The Foreign Minster highlighted Nepal's long-standing close ties with China and India, the two close neighbours.
Dr Rana, who is also a leader of the Nepali Congress (NC), said that a mechanism had been established to encourage mutual cooperation and understanding among the leaders and cadres of the two major political parties in the coalition government.
The mechanism aims to ensure a stable and durable government in the country. She was en route to her home district Dadeldhura to participate in a festival to be organised at a local Ugratara Temple.(RSS)
