Dhangadhi Sub-Metropolis provides special health service to over 27,000 persons

Kailali, April 21: Dhangadhi Sub-Metropolis provided health service to over 27,000 persons by conducting specialist health clinic in the last eight months.

Total 27,839 persons received various health services from the specialist ward clinic run in eight months of the current fiscal year.

The scheme of specialist health service was launched targeting people from rural area and poor ones. Resource person for the programme, Krishna Bohara, informed that the service was provided free of cost. Of the total service recipients, 20,875 were women and 6,964 men.

The specialist team comprised medical persons from Geta Eye Hospital and Dhangadhi Netralaya in addition to a general physician and a gynecologist and obstetrician. The general physician provided health check up to 16,900 persons, while number of persons receiving gynecological service was 3,715; and number of persons receiving eye checkup was 7,224. 

Laboratory facilities, ECG and ultrasound facilities were also provided during the clinic.  (RSS)
