By Prakash Bikram Shah, Dhangadhi,  July 29: Chief Minister (CM) of the Sudur Paschim Dirgha Bahadur Sodari, has dismissed Tika Thapa, Minister of Land Management, Agriculture and Cooperatives of Sudurpaschim Province from her position.

According to the Minister of Economic Affairs Akkal Bahadur Rawal, Thapa was dismissed on Sunday for failing to follow through the instructions of the CM.

Thapa, who was discharged, had participated in the meeting of the Province Assembly. It is assumed that the government had dismissed her as she participated in the meeting earlier on the day of the commencement of the session on July 23 despite the CM asking to avoid it.

The Province Chief Najir Miya had called for a special session of the province assembly from July 23 on demand from Nepali Congress (NC) and CPN (UML). Chief Minister Sodari has adopted a strategy of boycotting the special session called as per the demand of the opposition saying that the budget is being brought without ordinance.

The government is in the minority as the UML has taken support from the government. The government was scheduled to take a vote of confidence on August 2.

The dismissed minister Thapa is from the Nagarik Unmukti Party and it has supported the newly formed political equation. Therefore, Minister Thapa had participated in the special session of the Province Assembly.
