By A Staff ReporterKathmandu, Mar. 28: ‘Basudev Tripathika Pustakakar Pramukh Samalochanatmak Kriti Ra Kirti’, a book penned by Mitra Gautam was launched amidst a gathering of senior writers and poets here on Wednesday.

Professor Basudev Tripathi is a renowned critic of Nepali literature. He guided literary criticism in Nepal during his long career as a Professor at Tribhuvan University. The above book thus is a criticism of criticism. Gautam has carefully dared to write the book.

Dr. Tripathi himself launched the book. Surprisingly, Gautam’s book was launched coinciding the 83rd birthday of Dr. Tripathi.  A small birthday ceremony was also organised on the occasion.

Divided into six chapters, the books delves into life and works of Tripathi with focus on criticism. In a sense, the book presents whole picture of the tall figure of the critic of Nepali literature.

Printed by Three Star Printing Press, the book is priced at Rs. 500
