One goes missing as excavator veers off road in Karnali

By Prem Raj Simkhada, Kalikot, April 26: A person has gone missing when an excavator used to clear the debris from road veered 200 meters off the road at Laukhudanda, Jagannath Rural Municipality-6 along the Karnali cooridor.

The road was blocked as soil extracted to make a new road at Laukhu Zero Point-Kolti Section slid to the corridor.

A team of police in the command of Assistant Police Inspector Ramesh Rawal from police post of Juddi was deployed Sunday morning to open the road.

Mahesh Rawal, 18, of Naraharinath Rural Municipality-2 of Kalikot, went missing as the excavator Karnali Pradesh 3-01-003 Ka 6311 slid 200 meters down while clearing the soil from the road. Rawal was on the vehicle.

According to the police the driver of the excavator remained safe and that the search for the missing is going on.
