Visiting Japanese Foreign Minister Kamikawa calls on President Paudel

By TRN Online, May 6: Visiting Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan Kamikawa Yoko paid a courtesy call on President Ramchandra Paudel on Sunday. 

Amid the meeting, Foreign Minister of Japan stated that she was honored to meet President Paudel, who has long supported people-to-people exchanges between Japan and Nepal as the Chairman of the Nepal-Japan Parliamentary Friendship League. 

Minister Kamikawa touched upon the wide range of cooperation that Japan has provided to Nepal over the years and stated that Japan would continue to cooperate with Nepal for its sustainable development as the country aims for graduation from the Least Developed Country (LDC) by 2026. In response, President Paudel expressed his gratitude for Japan’s assistance over the years, according to a press release issued by the Embassy of Japan in Nepal.

The two sides exchanged views on climate change also.
