TRN Online, Kathmandu, May 6: A meeting was held between Deputy Prime Minister
and Minister for Foreign Affairs of Nepal Narayan Kaji Shrestha and visiting Minister
for Foreign Affairs of Japan Kamikawa Yoko on Sunday.
Views
on regional affairs, including the situation in East Asia and South Asia, global
issues and concurred on maintaining close communication between the two
countries were exchanged between two counterparts.

Minister Narayan Kaji Shrestha said that Nepal would like to maintain
cooperation on global issues including Women, Peace and Security (WPS).
Minister
for Foreign Affairs of Japan Kamikawa committed to further strengthening issues
of (WPS) saying that it is much needed amidst the increasing uncertainty in the
international community, according to a press release issued by the Embassy of Japan in Nepal.
The two Ministers also held a candid exchange of views on global issues including strengthening the functions of the UN, including the Security Council reform, the rule of law, and nuclear disarmament and non-proliferation.
