Shrestha family donates Rs. 10 million to Galkot Multiple Campus

By Thakur Prasad Acharya,Myagdi (Beni), Feb. 27: Local Shrestha family in Baglung has donated Rs. 10 million for the construction of the physical infrastructure of Galkot Multiple Campus. 

In memory of the late Badri Kumar Shrestha and late Begum Kumari Shrestha, the families of Nirmala Shrestha and sons-in-law and daughters-in-law Madan Kumar/Bandana Shrestha, Pushpaman/Laxmi Shrestha, Major Vipin Kumar Shrestha, Major Dr. Rashmi Shrestha, and Dilip/ Sushma Shrestha donated the amount.

The  Shrestha family of Hatiyabazaar in Galkot Municipliaty Ward No.-3  donated Rs. 10 million at the Education Gyan Mahayagya organised by the campus to collect support for the construction of physical infrastructure and improve the education quality of the campus. 

The campus has been run by collecting donations from the community and the assistance has been received to develop additional infrastructure for the campus. 

The locals honoured the Shrestha family, who supported the campus by providing the highest amount of money, by playing musical instruments and taking them around Galkot Bazaar. 

Ram Prasad Sharma, Coordinator of the Mahayagya Economic Committee, said that a total of Rs. 115 million has been collected at the Mahayagya which concluded on Sunday evening.

"We invest the money collected through Mahayagya to build the physical infrastructure of the campus and improve the quality of education," he said.
