NAFA honours journalists, art students

Kathmandu, July 27 :  Nepal Fine Arts Foundation (NAFA) has honoured journalists and art students who have made significant contributions to make the National Fine Arts Exhibition-2080 a success by disseminating news and reviewing the event. Each of the journalists were honoured with a certificate and cash prize of Rs. 5,000 at a programme held at the Academy on Wednesday.

Renuka Dhakal of The Rising Nepal, Sukreet Nepal of Gorkhapatra Daily , Urja Acharya of The Kathmandu Post, Dipendra Dhungana of Naya Patrika, and Hemant Gautam of NTV Plus were awarded. 

Under the review writing category,  Daya Laxmi Joshi of Kathmandu University, Pratibha Khadka and Pratibha Tiwari, both from the Fine Arts Campus, were honoured with a purse of Rs. 10,000, Rs. 8,000, and Rs. 6,000 respectively.

Speaking on the occasion, Narad Mani Hartamchhali, the Chancellor of the Academy, emphasised the significance of the National Fine Art Exhibition and acknowledged the media’s vital role to make the exhibition successful.  Vice Chancellor Lalkaji Lama highlighted the significant contribution of media in elevating the ‘National Fine Arts Exhibition-2080’. 

Keshab Raj Khanal, President of the Nepal Fine Arts Journalists Society (Sofaj), applauded the positive efforts made by the foundation.
