HoR passes prison management bill

Kathmandu, July 24: The House of Representatives (HoR) has passed the 'prison management bill, 2076'. Home Minister Balkrishna Khand had presented a proposal seeking the passage of the bill received from the state affairs and good governance committee along with a report.     

Discussion on the bill followed the proposal made for its passage. In the second meeting of the HoR, Speaker Agni Prasad Sapkota announced the unanimous passage of the bill.

The first meeting of the HoR was however postponed for 15 minutes, as it failed to secure the required quorum.     

 Home Minister Khand furnished responses to the queries raised by the lawmakers on the prison management bill in the meeting.  (RSS)
