Scientific Exploration and Science and Mathematics Exhibition-2083 BS from April 16

Khotang, April 11: The Scientific Exploration and Science and Mathematics Exhibition-2083 festival is set to be organised in Diktel of Khotang from coming April 16 to 20.

Financially supported by the Ministry of Social Development under the Koshi Province Government, the event is being jointly organised by the Rupakot Majhuwagadhi Municipality, Shubham Foundation, and Himalayan Secondary School, Solma.

According to festival organising committee coordinator and Shubham Foundation Executive Director, Surya Bahadur Rai, the academic festival aims to increase and explore interest in science and technology among youths.

This is the first technology-related and innovation-focused festival taking place in the district. Its objective is to encourage youths to explore their interest in science and technology, as well as AI use and innovation. The event will feature student-prepared science projects, AI-based model presentations, and interactive stalls.

“We hope the event will help nurture creative thinking among students and expand their knowledge and skills in science and technology in rural areas,” he said.

In the project competition, cash prizes will also be awarded. The first prize is Rs 20,000, followed by Rs 10,000 and Rs 5,000.

Likewise, the first prize for the Robo Car Race is Rs 15,000, followed by Rs 10,000 for the second and Rs 5,000 for the third.

The People’s Choice Award carries a purse of Rs 5,000, and the Most Practical Innovation Award also carries a purse of Rs 5,000, Rai said. (RSS)
