ACC Premier Cup: Malaysia posts 52-run target before Nepal in semifinal match

Kathmandu, Nov 29: Malaysia has set a victory target of 52 runs for Nepal in the semifinal of the ACC Men's U-19 Premier Cup Cricket Tournament being held in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

Malaysia, batting first after losing the toss at Ajman ground, were all out for 51 runs in 17.2 overs. For Malaysia, Hamzah Pangi scored 13 and Muhammad Fatul Muin added 11 runs, but the other batters could not score in double figures.

Nepal's Nitish Kumar Patel took four wickets, Chandan Ram three wickets, and captain Ashok Dhami, Roshan Bishwakarma and Aparajit Paudel took one wicket each.

The winning team will be selected for the U-19 Asia Cup. Nepal reached the semifinals as the winners of Group 'A' and Malaysia as the winners of Group 'D'. (RSS)
