Fire breaks out Chulachuli, Ilam: Damage worth over Rs 300,000

By Prem Adhikari, Pashupatinagar (Ilam), Sept.2: A fire broke out at Chandra Bahadur Bista's house in Chulachuli, Ilam, last night, causing damage of more than 300,000.

A fire broke out in a single-storey house with a tin roof and tin bars of Chandra Bahadur Bista of Toribari, Chulachuli Rural Municipality-6, at around 10 pm.

Police said that the house, utensils, and food items inside the house were gutted in the fire, causing an estimated loss of Rs. 325,000.

According to Senior Sub Inspector of Police at Peltimari Police Post, Narayan Prasad Kunwar, the fire was completely brought under control at 11 PM  with the help of the police, Damak Municipality's fire department, and locals.

Locals said that the Bista family is now displaced as their house has burned down.
