Missing Dawa Sherpa rescued alive after five days from Crampon Point

Kathmandu, June 4: Dawa Sherpa, who had gone missing for five days while scaling the Sagarmatha, has been rescued safely today. 

Sherpa was a member of the expedition, serving as a support worker. He had gone missing since May 30, but spotted alive and medevaced to Kathmandu after five days. 

Information Officer at the Department of Tourism, Himal Gautam, shared that a person from the Everest Pollution Control Committee found the missing Sherpa at Crampon Point close to the Everest Base Camp. 

The Committee's staff carried Sherpa from Crampon Point to Gorakshep, from where he was airlifted to Kathmandu. He is currently receiving medical treatment at HAMS Hospital. 

Sherpa, hailing from Okhaldhunga district, had joined the expedition as a support worker from the 8K International Everest Expedition (Spring Team A). (RSS)
