Nine injured in Panchthar road mishap
By Radha Luitel, Phidim, June 5: Nine people, including the driver sustained injuries when a jeep met with an accident in Bharapa road section of Panchthar along the Mechi Highway.
13 people, including the driver, were on board when a jeep (Me 1 Ja 1766), en route from Birtamod in Jhapa to Taplejung, met with an accident on Friday morning. The accident took place near Chature Bazaar of Hilihang Rural Municipality-6.
Police said that jeep veered off around 25 meters down the road after becoming uncontrollable.
Seven of the nine injured are in normal condition.
Police said that the cause of the accident is yet to be ascertained.
