Trade fair to be held between Nepal, China

By A Staff Reporter.Humla, Aug. 10: In Lapcha, a border area between Nepal and China, a trade fair is going to be held next week. The fair is being organized by China for the exchange of goods produced in the two countries.

The trade fair will be held on August 17 in Lapcha of Limi, Namkha Rural Municipality–6, according to Acting Chief Administrative Officer Pathane Budha of the rural municipality. He said, "Traders and individuals who wish to exchange goods in the fair should register the items they want to bring for trade at the rural municipality." 

From Humla, indigenous crop-based delicacies and other goods can be taken for trade, and the Chinese side will also bring their goods to exchange in the fair. The fair started in the last fiscal year. He said, "This year is a continuation of that." 

He urged traders and individuals to take as many goods as they have to the fair to gain economic benefit.

This trade fair is being held in coordination between Bulab County of China and Namkha Rural Municipality. Last year, trade worth more than 20 million was conducted.
