Weekly four flights to operate in Resunga Airport

Gulmi, April 18: From today, flights will operate four times a week from Resunga Airport in Gulmi.

Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC) has announced a schedule to operate flight from Kathmandu to Gulmi on Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. Previously, flights used to operate on Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday.

Suman Thapa, the chief of the Resunga station, said that the number of days to operate flight to Resunga Airport has been increased along with the maintenance of its Twin Otter aircraft used by Nepal Airlines Corporation for operating domestic flights.

According to him, with the increase in the Corporation's flights, the fare has also risen. Station chief Thapa stated that the air fare for the Resunga-Kathmandu flight has increased along with the rise in petroleum product prices.

He said that according to the newly implemented fare, Rs 10,902 has been set from Kathmandu to Resunga and Rs 10,702 from Resunga to Kathmandu.

NAC had previously set a fare of Rs 7,500 from Kathmandu to Resunga and Rs 7,300 from Resunga to Kathmandu.

Except for the rainy season and adverse weather, regular air service has been operating at Resunga Airport in Gulmi for the past five months.

NAC has been operating the Kathmandu-Resunga air service with an 18-seater Twin Otter aircraft. (RSS)
