Kailali customs collects revenue of Rs 6.32 billion in nine months

Attariya (Kailali), April 18: Kailali Customs Office Dhangadhi has collected revenue of Rs 6 billion 327 million and 100 thousand in the last nine months of the current fiscal year 2025/26.

According to Prakash Timilsina, Information Officer at the Customs Office, the office collected revenue of Rs 2 billion 294 million and 100 thousand from customs duties, Rs 2 billion 522 million and 400 thousand from value-added tax, Rs 119 million 900 thousand from excise duty and Rs 1 billion 39 million and 500 thousand from other sources during that period.

He informed that out of the annual target of collecting Rs 9 billion 711million and 500 thousand in revenue for the current fiscal year, the revenue collected in nine months amounts to 65.15 percent of the annual target.

The information officer Timilsina reported that in the fiscal year 2024/25, the office had an annual revenue collection target of Rs 11 billion 162 million and 600 thousand, but Rs 8 billion 669 million and 800 thousand was collected. According to him, this is 77.67 percent of the annual target. (RSS)
