Foreigner arrested with drug from TIA

Kathmandu, April 18: The police have arrested an American citizen at Tribhuvan International Airport with five bottles, each containing 10.25 litres of liquid resembling cannabis/hash oil.

Superintendent of Police at the Airport Security Office, Raj Kumar Silwal, said that the person arrested is 46-year-old Ognian Petrov, holder of passport number A 83488487.

"During screening at the luggage checking area, the luggage brought by the person appeared suspicious, and upon opening it, five bottles of oil resembling marijuana/hemp plant oil, each of 1.25 litres, were found," SP Silwal said.

Spokesperson Silwal stated that the arrested individual, an American citizen, has been handed over to a police team deployed at the airport by the Narcotics Control Bureau for necessary investigation and action. (RSS)
