Fifth Cancer Conference held

Chitwan, April 18: The 'Fifth Cancer Conference' was organised at BP Koirala Memorial Cancer Hospital here with the participation of specialist doctors from three countries.     

Hospital Executive Director Dr Shivaji Paudel said that specialist doctors from Nepal, India and China participated in the one-day conference today.     

He stated that discussions were held at the conference on the latest technologies, medicines and treatment procedures for cancer treatment, and a total of 30 papers were presented, including two from India and one from China.     

According to Dr Umesh Nepal, Deputy Director of the hospital, the hospital has been organising such a programme on its foundation day every year for the past five years. He stated that this programme was delayed this year due to the Gen Z movement.     

Two hundred people, including specialist doctors, nurses, and health workers from various hospitals in Nepal, attended the conference.(RSS)
