Four journalists awarded

Pathari (Morang), April 18: Four journalists have been awarded on the occasion of the 22nd annual general meeting and assembly of Sanchar Club Nepal.     

At a program organized here today, journalist Keshav Niraula was honoured with the ‘Dataram-Padmawati Khatiwada Memorial Journalism Award’ including a cash prize of Rs 10,000.     

Similarly, Durga Prasad Khatiwada was honoured with the ‘Durgaraj Pomu (Limbu) Memorial Journalism Award’, Santosh Gautam with the ‘Lilagoma Acharya Memorial Journalism Award’ and Santosh Rai with the ‘Sanchar Club Nepal Journalism Award’. The awards also carry a cash prize of Rs 10,000 each.     

Minister of State for Physical Infrastructure of Koshi Province, Shobha Chemjong, gave away the award and prize. The convention will also elect a new leadership today, said club president Kumar Khadka.(RSS)
