One killed, four injured in lightning

Karnali, July 4: A person died and four others got injuries in a lightning occurred at Bheriganga municipality-8, Surkhet on Friday.     

According to the District Police Office, 27-year-old Dil Bahadur Shahi, injured severely in the lightning, died at round 3:00 pm in a hospital. He was hit by a thunder bolt while working in a paddy field of a local Bir Bahadur Thapa.     

Police reported that Shahi was severely injured in the lightning and died while receiving treatment at Mehelkuna Hospital.     

Two police teams reached the incident site after receiving information.     

Four others injured in the incident were 17-year-old Parbat BK, 19-year-old Hum Bahadur Thapa, 18-year-old Naveen BK, and 30-year-old Sunita Giri. However, they sustained minor injuries.(RSS)
