President, Vice President call to work for environment conservation

Kathmandu, June 5: President Ramchandra Paudel has urged one and all to promote activities for environment conservation by following the nature-friendly lifestyle.

In his message today on the occasion of World Environment Day 2026, President Paudel has stated that we all have to apply the nature-friendly lifestyle considering the concept that development and environment are complementary to each other.

"We can develop a safe and green future for the future generation through the use of clean energy, tree plantation and capacity development for climate change adaptation," the President mentioned in his message. 

The President has observed that the world community today is facing serious challenges due to climate change impacts, pollution and excessive extraction of natural resources.

Likewise, Vice President Ramsahay Prasad Yadav has pointed out the need for use of environment-friendly resources, means and technology by combating harmful substances for promoting clean environment. 

In a message of best wishes on the occasion of World Environment Day 2026, Vice President Yadav has stated that conserving environment was a collective responsibility of all, and a commitment of all was required to make a bright future by maintaining a secured present. 

Vice President Yadav has cautioned that the poor, rural people and farmers are mostly affected from the climate change impacts, pollution, degradation of biodiversity and poor management of wastes adding that we all should join hands together to get rid of such challenges.  (RSS)
