Prime Minister Oli for new financial order and strong global cooperation

Kathmandu, June 3: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has stressed on the need for a new financial order and strong global cooperation for development and prosperity.     

Addressing a virtual meeting called by United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres today on the eve of the Fourth International Conference on Financing for Development to be held in Seville, Spain from June 30 to July 3, Prime Minister Oli also urged for healthy institutional reforms.     

In the virtual meeting attended by various heads of state and government, Prime Minister Oli emphasized on effective global cooperation, as developing countries cannot sustain on their own resources alone amid declining overseas development assistance and investment.     

Prime Minister Oli also shared about the national aspiration of a prosperous Nepal, happy Nepalis and expressed the commitment to work to upgrade Nepal from a least developed country to a mid-income country by 2026 and achieve the Sustainable Development Goals by 2030.(RSS)
