National Day Concert draws huge crowd

By A Staff Reporter,Kathmandu, Sept. 20: Thousands of people, mostly youth, with national flags in their hands thronged the Durbar Marg on Thursday evening to enjoy the National Day Concert organised on the occasion of Constitution Day. 

The concert was organised to celebrate Constitution Day. Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli also reached the concert venue with his spouse Radhika Shakya.  Both PM Oli and his spouse were also seen holding the national flag.

 Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Bishnu Prasad Paudel and Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak also accompanied PM Oli. 

Popular artists including Ananda Karki, Kunti Moktan, Devika Bandana, Sugam Pokharel, Deepak Limbu, Pramod Kharel, Siwani Moktan, Swapna Suman, and renowned bands Kutumba and Elements performed in the concert. 

The crowd was so huge that about 5,000 police were mobilised to maintain security.
