Anju Gautam comes up with Teej song

By Our Correspondent,Sunsari, Aug. 17: Haritalika Teej, the festival of Nepali women, is around the corner, and many Teej songs have started to hit the market targeting the festival. 

Popular singer from the east, Anju Gautam, has released a Teej song titled ‘Hamlai Dake Jasto Lagyo Sanginile Nache Nache Jasto Lagyo’ recently. 

 The song has been brought to the market as part of an effort to preserve Teej songs.

The music video features artists including Jyoti Khadka, Khusi Pathak, Reshma Bhattarai and Anisa Magar. 

The song, sung by Gautam, was penned by Dr. Ram Prasad Dahal while Buddha Thapa handled the cinematography.

“We must save and conserve Nepali original art, culture, and language. With this in mind, I brought out this song targeting the Teej festival, the festival of women,” said the singer.

 The song was released on singer Gautam’s official YouTube channel.

 Gautam has been singing traditional songs for a long time.

 She has performed Maruni songs, eastern folk songs, Teej songs, hymns, and modern songs, and has sung over 300 songs so far.
