Cool Boyyy doing Hostel 3

By A Staff Reporter,Kathmandu, May 4: Paras Bam Thakuri, known as ‘Cool Boyyy, has been signed for the third instalment of ‘Hostel’, the popular film series that has introduced numerous stars in the Nepali film industry.

 Director Sashan Kandel said that Thakuri, renowned on the internet as a video content creator through TikToker, has been cast in an important role and one of the lead characters in the film. Also a singer, Thakuri will make his debut in the film centred around lives of teenagers who study staying in a hostel. His songs like ‘Kanchi Kata Hideko’ and ‘Buako Naak Hos’ are popular among the audience.

Director Kandel said that Cool Boyyy was chosen because he perfectly fits the character demanded by the script. He expressed confidence that, like in the previous installments, some new star actors will emerge from this movie. ‘Hostel 3’ has been scripted by Madhav Sharma, with the story crafted by director Kandel himself. 

While ‘Hostel’ and ‘Hostel Returns’ were helmed by Sunil Rawal, ‘Hostel 3’ is a collaboration between Samman Entertainment and Aaron Kan Films. 

Its producer is Shishir Gyawali, executive producer Shankar Koirala, and co-producers are Sudha Marhattha, Suresh Kandel and Arjun Sapkota. ‘Hostel’ released in 2013, and '’Hostel Returns’ released in 2015, enjoyed success at the domestic box office. Director of the film has informed that they plan to release the film at the end of the year.
