Kathmandu, March
11: Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) has decided to not be part of the the
current ruling coalition.
The meeting of
the central work execution committee of the party that concluded at its central
office in Dhumbarahi today decided to vote against the government and stay in
the opposition, said central member Sundar Pandey.
The meeting
which was held since Saturday also decided not to participate in the provincial
governments as well for the moment and if there is a situation where the
party's support is needed a decision will be taken in consultation with the
relevant province unit at the appropriate time.
Furthermore, the
party has decided to participate in the by-elections to the House of
Representatives and the Provincial Assembly to be held on coming 15th Baisakh
in Ilam and Bajhang respectively. The party president of the respective
province will coordinate with the president of the respective district to
recommend the candidate for the two elections.(RSS)
