By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Mar 6: The swearing in of the newly appointed
ministers is scheduled at the Office of the President for 5:45 PM today.
The Office of the President has urged all the newly appointed ministers under the leadership of Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ to be present for their swearing in.
Some of the Ministers from the CPN (Maoist Centre), CPN (UML) and Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) have already taken an oath of office and secrecy.
Narayan Kaji Shrestha will be sworn in as Deputy
Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Rekha Sharma as Minister for
Communication and Technology, Shakti Bahadur Basnet for Minister of Energy,
Water Resources and Irrigation, Barshaman Pun for Minister of Finance, Hit
Bahadur Tamang for Ministry of Culture, Tourism & Civil Aviation.
Damodar Bhandari, leader of the CPN (UML), said that
Padam Giri, Jwala Kumari Sah, Damodar Bhandari, Bhagwati Chaudhary, Hari Upreti
and Rajendra Rai will take an oath as minister in the leadership of the
Raghubir Mahaseth.
Likewise, the President of Rashtriya Swatantra Party, Ravi
Lamichhane will take an oath of office and secrecy as Deputy Prime Minister and
Minister of Home Affairs, Dol Prasad Aryal in the Ministry of
Labour, Employment and Social Security, Sumana Shrestha in the Ministry
of Education, Science and Technology, Biraj Bhakta Shrestha in
Ministry of Youth and Sports.
According to the PM’s Secretariat, the names of the ministers from Janata Samajbadi Party (JSP) and CPN (Unified Socialist) is being awaited.
